2026 International Year of Woman Farmer

In 2024, the United Nations General Assembly declared 2026 the International Year of Woman Farmer. This initiative aims to recognize the essential contribution of women to agri-food systems, from production to trade, a contribution that tends to be overlooked.

The issue of funding

Access to financing remains one of the biggest obstacles preventing women farmers from unlocking their full potential.
