In partnership with OXUS Tajikistan, we surveyed 261 clients to understand how microfinance concretely improves, or does not improve, their lives. This study reveals significant gains in income and financial confidence (901 clients reported an improvement in income, and 891 found repayments easy), while also identifying gaps to fill in order to move from a credit-only model to an integrated offering of savings, insurance, and financial education.
