THE FOUNDATION
In 2008, the Crédit Agricole Group and Professor Yunus, Nobel Peace Prize winner, met to create what would become the Grameen Crédit Agricole Foundation, endowed with 50 million euros, intended to participate in the fight against poverty in developing countries through microfinance.

In this form and for this amount, this commitment has no equivalent in the banking world. In 2023, 15 years later, the Foundation is fulfilling its mission: it allocates €86 million (in lending and equity investments) to 80 organizations (microfinance institutions and impact businesses) in 36 countries, serving nearly 9 million people.

The Foundation's beneficiaries are 90% women and 80% live in rural areas, in Asia, Africa and Central Europe.

The Foundation's 2025 strategic plan is part of a context of profound transformations, driven by digital technology and climate change.
