The Foundation invests in capital, finances, supports and strengthens microfinance institutions, businesses and projects that promote inclusive finance and the development of rural economies throughout the world.
At the heart of the Foundation's work are women's entrepreneurship and the development of rural economies: among the more than 6.7 million clients of the microfinance institutions supported, 821% are women and 691% live in rural areas.
